Yesterday, Today and Tomorrow
" The decisions which are left to be made is difficult,
More difficult than anything else.
Since, i have chosen to ignore because i have no courage to face the truth.
But is it time already? "
So here I am, in St. Lucia, Brisbane, Queensland.
I have been here for more than a week.
Seems like just yesterday when i was at the airport worrying that my tears would fall.
I tried so hard to put on a straight face, and i am proud that i managed to pull it off.
I miss home, i miss family, i miss friends, i miss him.
So how's Queensland treating me, you might ask?
I'm staying at at 12-bedroom house, 10 minutes walk to Uni, 30 minutes walk to my campus.
Was wondering if the walk everyday would help me keep my body. (I know i'm fat enough, thank you.)
" I don't wanna GET FATTTTTEEERRRR!!! "
Pfffttttt!
Life here is very different.
No more Greyish Blue Honda City, Maroon Chevrolet, Silver Matrix, Black Myvi, Silver Waja, Black Altis, Green Picanto, Black Iswara waiting in front of the house to pick me up, no more treated like a princess.
Here, we got to walk everywhere.
Apparently, according to the Australians, they are all ' WALKABLE '.
Conjob.
It took us one bloody hour to reach our destination.
So we were smarter after that, we don't ask them no more, we take the bus. :)
We met quite a few friends.
First, there's the Skywalker, Luke.
He's our housemate, only seventeen this year.
A very nice and mean person.
Nice 'cause his whole stack of DVDs are in my room. *blek!*
Mean 'cause he said i looked like a pole dancer. *damnyou*
But he's a DAMN GOOD COOK.
We had lasagna and pasta and desserts so far.
*And our parents are actually worried that we don't have enough to eat. Tsk tsk. *
:) Yesh, so that's our little Skywalker.
Then there's Luke's friends, Barnes and Backas.
Barnes - wears the same shirt for 3 days, takes off his pants in the middle of nowhere, talks cock.
Backas - drinks like there's no tomorrow, sunglasses stealer.
There's Emile and Marcus, the Med Students.
They were checking our blood pressure yesterday.
According to Marcus, " Your blood pressure is quite low."
Then it was Emile's turn, " OMG, she's DEAD! I can't hear nothing! "
And Diana, the Veterinary Science Student.
She's always missing in action 'cause she'll be on the phone 24 hours a day.
But she's a really nice person. :)
Then Bianca moved in.
She's only 18 this year, but looks super mature.
She's going to be teaching Chris to swim.
:)
Chris has been whining.
" I want to SURF, i want to SURF! "
" Whoa, Chris, you know how to surf? "
" Dunno. But i want to surf! "
" Err, do you even know how to swim? "
" No. "
Haha. =D
Oh, by the way, Chris refers to Lim Christopher, our little Goalie.
There was someone called Mushi aka Bangla. (I'm not trying to be a racist here, mind you.)
No offence, but thank God he moved out!
First, he smells. ( Luke : Omg! That guy smells like shit! )
Second, his room has everything. ( How the hell he fits everything inside? A fridge, a television, a microwave, 3 mattresses, a sofa, a bed, a study table etc. )
Third, he has trail of ants coming out of his room. ( FungKeng : Mahai! My room got damn chat a lot of ants! )
Fourth, he doesn't wash the utensils properly. ( FungKeng : I'm gonna Fuck kao him if he doesn't wash his dishes wei! )
Fifth, he cooks really tasty-smelling meal but doesn't offer a single bit. ( Not to say we'll dare to try em, but still! )
Really, he's freaky.
Hann came over from Melbourne to visit us on Thursday.
" How do i go over to your place har? "
" Take bus 412 from stop #16 or #41. Tell the driver that u wanna stop at Munro Street St Lucia. "
" Okay, i'll try. "
An hour later...........
" Fcuk this shit man, i'm taking a cab. Lol. "
:)
It is really difficult to find the right stop for the right bus to take u to the right place.
This is not Malaysia, where the buses stop anywhere and everywhere.
Hann arrived like 20 minutes later and we went to Toowong Village (which is equivalent to PJ's Curve maybe?) for lunch and some shopping.
So it was orientation week this week.
Thought it would have been really different compared to other orientations i've attended.
Disappointment.
The talks were still super boring.
However, they had this thing called Market Day.
It is the ClubJoiningcumFleaMarketcumFreebies day.
All the hundreds of clubs ranging from Commerce Club to Dancing Club to Chocolate Appreciation Club.
*Yes, they have weird clubs.*
Sides that, they have stalls selling Sunnies, and clothes and food etcetc.
Then they have many many freebies to give away.
Cheapos like Terence and Buford went in line again and again just to take and retake the freebies.
Can't blame them, there are free condoms.
=P
Depending on what clubs you decide to join, the Malaysian club costs us AUD10, Dance Club costs us AUD2, Diving Club costs FungKeng AUD40.
So yeah, nothing is free.
But what's nice, they sometimes give out Krispe Kreme doughnuts for free at the entrance of the University.
So it's all goood!
OMG, FOOOOD AGAIN!
:(
